Artificial intelligence is becoming prevalent in various aspects of everyday life. Its various applications are starting to show in fashion and clothing. In fact, according to the MIT Technology Review, Ministry of Supply, a Boston-based clothing company has launched a jacket that incorporates AI. The jacket syncs with Alexa, is controlled by an app and customizes its temperature using machine learning. The jacket is not perfect; there are some connectivity issues, although many of these kinks are being worked out. Aside from being used in clothes, artificial intelligence is helping with fashion choices. The Verge explains that Amazon has an algorithm that analyzes pictures to design clothing. It helps Amazon to quickly realize a trend and design clothes based on the trends. Additionally, another article from the MIT Technology Review finds that researchers from the University of California, San Diego and Adobe have found a way for AI to learn about a person’s specific fashion style and generate outfits to suit that style. This could help consumers make clothing choices and help retailers decide what clothing to sell. Sources: MIT Technology Review The Verge MIT Technology Review
