Taylor Fang is an incoming freshman at Harvard University. She’s excited to share resources and opportunities with the Allgirlithm community, write about her love of language technology, and inspire others to be leaders. If she's not on her computer, you can find her trying to round up middle school kids, writing in a journal, at a debate tournament, or spending time outdoors.
Anne Li is an incoming freshman at Stanford University. She attended Stanford AI4ALL 2017, where she worked on a project classifying gene expression profiles. Outside of computer science, Anne enjoys physics and piano.
Joanna Liu is an incoming freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the summer of 2017, she attended Stanford AI4ALL where she studied autonomous systems and programmed her own self-driving car. She is also a nationally ranked chess player, and her other hobbies include ice skating, table tennis, and reading.

Rebekah Agwunobi, Outreach Director, is a rising sophomore at Columbia University. Since attending SAILORS '16, she has grown unbelievably passionate about applying STEM to solve issues ranging from women's health care access to disaster relief. She is an organizer for MAHacks, co-president of Choate Diversity Student Association, co-president of Choate programming union, as well as Senior Editor for three publications. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, singing, and skiing.

Claire Swadling is a sophomore from Michigan attending Canton High School. Her interests lie in the study of life and youth activism. Skyler Basco is a junior at Sanford H. Calhoun High School from Merrick, New York with an immense passion for all aspects of the STEM field. After developing a love for CRISPR-Cas9, her devotion towards advocacy within technological innovation has been ever-expanding. As the Founder of NeuroSkyence, Skyler strives to to simplify complex topics of conversation in neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and genome editing technologies in order to educate others about constant advancements within STEM.
Jessica Truong is a rising sophomore at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Cognitive Science and Computer Science with concentrations in Psychology/Human-Computer-Interactions and AI/Computational Modeling. She is passionate about female empowerment, inclusivity in tech, and social good. In her free time, she enjoys expressing herself through photography, videography, and writing. Her experience as a 2019 Google Tech Apprentice opened her up to the worlds of Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence and she hopes to bring a taste of those fields to her Allgirlithm posts. She has completed several Data Science & Visualization and Artificial Intelligence projects using tools such as Kaggle, Pandas, Power BI, and DialogFlow. Outside of Allgirlithm, she works as an executive affairs director for a local environmental youth council, and is currently working on a research proposal regarding ways in which the environment can be protected using concepts in STEM. Her goals for the future would be to eventually bring her ideas into a lab where she could work alongside others who are passionate about making the world a better place using STEM.

Writers
Sashrika Pandey (Editor-in-Chief) is a student at UC Berkeley intending to study computer science. She has been a research assistant at the University of Iowa, where she developed reinforcement learning reward functions to study autonomous navigation, and will be attending Google's Computer Science Summer Institute. She has also given a TEDx talk regarding the impacts of underrepresentation on the development of AI models and hopes to continue exploring the applications of technology in social good.
Lucy Hur (Canada Outreach Director) is a Junior at Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School in Waterloo, Canada. She is super into neuroscience, cognitive science, and many streams of humanities. She finds neuroscience fascinating as the potential of the human brain and its intricate systems are endless. She's also interested in artificial intelligence and machine learning in neuroscience. She is the founder and CEO of Youth Medical Action Potential, and is actively involved as a leader in activities like HOSA, Key Club, and The Synapse Project. In her spare time, Lucy loves to read, play instruments, sing, and volunteer in her community. She also loves to waste time watching Korean TV shows and playing with her cat. Lucy loves to challenge herself to learn new languages, meet new people, and is excited to work with Allgirlithm to fuel her passion further in STEM!
Amelie Buc is a junior at the Trinity School in New York City and loves both computer science - particularly the emerging field of artificial intelligence - and the humanities. Amelie also debates and is an active member of several STEM-based organizations, including Girls Who Code.
Trisha Sengupta is a senior from Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. Trisha would like to explore the possibilities of combining technology (specifically artificial intelligence) and medicine. She is the founder of a STEM outreach organization called Hands on STEM which conducts workshops for low income middle schoolers to expose them to different areas of STEM. During SAILORS 2017, she worked on a project which used classifiers to diagnose cancer using gene expressions. Other than programming, Trisha plays the bassoon, swims and participates in Model United Nations’ competitions.
Kathy Xing is a junior at Leland High School in San Jose, California. She loves anything STEM-related and wants to inform others about the world of technology. She is especially interested in artificial intelligence, due to her experience at SAILORS (Stanford’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory Outreach Summer Program). She enjoys working with technology. Aside from technology, Kathy enjoys debating, competition math, and playing instruments.
Avantika Garg is a high schooler from Mumbai, India. She attended AI4all at Stanford (SAILORs) in 2017 and has since been fascinated by Artifical Intelligence. She also has a passion for physics and astronomy and did research on the orbit determination of asteroids as a part of the Summer Science Program (SSP) in 2019. She loves playing the piano and sketching portraits as well.
Angela Choi is a junior at Oxford Academy in Cypress, California. She loves exploring what she can do with technology, particularly with artificial intelligence, and hopes that she can encourage other young females to develop a similar passion for computer science. Aside from programming, Angela likes to play basketball, watch YouTube, and play the oboe.
Aarushi Ramesh is a rising freshman at The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. She has a passion for engineering and computer science and wants to explore artificial intelligence and machine learning in depth and learn about the impact it can have on everyone’s lives. As a Girls in Computing officer in her school, she hopes to motivate girls to develop interest and passion in STEM. Aarushi loves to play tennis, watch Youtube, and listen to music.
Jenny Kim is a senior at Marymount High School in Los Angeles, California. She is passionate about STEM fields, including engineering and artificial intelligence. She also loves to attend Model United Nations conferences, practice Taekwondo, and listen to K-pop.
Catherine Zhou (not pictured) is a senior in NYC. When she interned at the American Museum of Natural History last year, she used satellite data and spatial analysis in R to code maps visualizing deforestation trends in Eastern Madagascar. She's looking forward to studying any field of technology in the future! In her spare time, she loves playing piano, messing around with MuseScore, and petting dogs.
Dhanya Prem attends Cupertino High School. She loves computer science and tries to integrate computer science (specifically machine learning) with environmental science and space research. Dhanya is currently a member of Girls Who Code and is interested in helping people explore Computer Science. Other than computer science, she participates in Speech and Debate, FBLA, and dancing.
Pavitra Sammandam is a current junior at Cupertino High. She is extremely passionate about incorporating computer science and artificial intelligence into ideas for a more sustainable planet, and hopes to inspire others to discover the many applications and opportunities such a diverse field could have. In her free time, she enjoys bringing her ideas to life with mediums such as watercolor painting, abstracts, and poetry.
Ariana Pineda is a sophomore at Harvard Westlake. She enjoys learning about the newest innovations in technology and has devoted much of her time to studying blockchain, its applications, and its revolutionary impact on the real world. Currently, she is learning solidity and is working on a web3 application that incorporates Ethereum smart contracts, using blockchain to ensure the integrity of its data. Ariana is passionate about incorporating her love for technology into benefiting her own community. She is also the founder and co-developer of Whistle, an iOS app that streamlines the prevention of sexual offenses through providing easy and immediate access to help from organizations, shelters, and professionals.
Mehak Garg is a current junior at Milpitas High School. She is the founder of Coding4Kids, an international initiative dedicated to exposing students from K-8 to coding basics and Hidden Lake Ventures, a nonprofit that spreads social entrepreneurship. She is passionate about creating pathways, human-centered design, and the social/legal implications of technology. In her free time, she can be found writing case studies for her blog, debating on the national circuit, and playing tennis.
Emily Chen is a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. She is part of the Music for Community and Astrophysics club at her school, and is one of the lead organizers for a high school hackathon called Digitize that is focused on teaching students how to use technology to combat social issues. She is interested in Data Science as well as Modern Physics and Astrophysics, and hopes to bring more girls to the male-dominated STEM fields.
Natalie Pham is a Freshman at UCLA studying Computer Science and Engineering. She enjoys participating in various tech programs such as Girls Who Code, Kode With Klossy, and #BUILTBYGIRLS. Her goal is participate in research for artificial intelligence and change the future of the world. In her free time, she likes to read, go to the gym, go hiking and hang out with her friends. She plans to join the UCLA Engineering Fraternity, Vietnamese social organizations and women in engineering organizations.
Vaughn Luthringer is currently a senior in high school in the east Bay Area. She's loved everything STEM-related, especially computer science and robotics, for as long as she can remember, and is excited to continue learning in the future. During Summer 2019, she interned at the UC Berkeley Department of Nuclear Engineering, where she had the opportunity to write code for a sensor device. Outside of her interest in computer science, she's co-president of my school’s Women’s Awareness on Campus (WAC) club, which focuses on women’s issues and feminism. She's excited to be a part of Allgirlithm, because she can combine her interest in feminism with her interest in STEM. Any time not dedicated to WAC or computer science she spends at dance practice, where she rehearse with her hip hop dance team. She love the communities she gets to be a part of with STEM, feminism, and dance!
Taruni Tangirala is a senior at Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas. She is passionate about applying computation to solve real-world problems, whether it be through scientific research or co-creating an app to help women find safe stops while driving in unfamiliar areas, and serves as President for Girl Bytes, a club at her school that encourages literacy and inclusion among young women in computing. Taruni also fulfills her goals by being an active volunteer for a variety of different educational organizations, whether it be through being an Editor at an international scientific journal, judging spelling and geography bees, or being the Technology Coordinator for an international non-profit that provides disadvantaged children with access to educational opportunities. In her free time, she can be found photographing her travels, playing her ukulele, or writing political critiques.
Madison Ramos is a senior at The Wheatley School in Old Westbury, New York. Ever since participating in DigiGirlz and Technovation, she has found herself drawn to all things computer science and design. Currently, she yearns to explore all that machine learning (ML) and data science have to offer, having first delved into ML this summer through her research at Stony Brook University. She is also a #BUILTBYGIRLS WAVE Advisee, a Coding Coordinator for her school’s Coding Club, and a developer (and designer) for various organizations. Moreover, Madison understands the importance of education, acting as the Senior Vice President of Communications at Kara Tutoring; through Allgirlitm, she hopes to empower other girls interested in STEM. In her free time, she can generally be found reading, immersed in Photoshop, coding, or statistically analyzing the occurrences of Tom Riddle’s names throughout Harry Potter.
Gloria Huang is a junior at The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She has an avid passion about getting the younger generation, especially girls, interested in STEM. To further her passion, she has also been working with the educational leaders of her district to incorporate computer science into the elementary school curriculums.
Ore James is a senior attending high school in Texas. She is a lover of all things STEM and hopes to use communications to bridge gaps in the field. In her free time, she enjoys writing, biking and finding new podcasts.
Manasi Patel is a high school senior from Florida. She is interested in artificial intelligence and wants to learn more about computer science and technology as well as help encourage the next younger generation through working with Allgirlithm and participating in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program. Tia Jain is a senior from Saratoga High School; As president of her school's AI club, she plans to use Allgirlithm AI Club resources in her club next year, and hopes to get more female and minority participation and interest in AI. Over the past year, she has worked to develop AI4Sight (@ai4sight on Instagram), which is an app that uses ML to make navigation and performing daily tasks easier and safer for the visually impaired community; she recently released this app to the App Store, and would really appreciate if you all could share the app with a loved one with visual impairments and/or download the app yourself!
Miha Bhaskaran is a senior attending American High School in Fremont California. She is the President of her school's Engineering and Tech Club as well as co-president/founder of her school's AI club and feels strongly about empowering women as well as breaching the gender gap in tech related jobs. Through Allgirlithm, she hopes to grow her passions further for journalism and technology.
Aashvi Patel is a senior from Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida. She is passionate about Computer Science and Design. She hopes to encourage other females and minorities to become involved in STEM related fields.
Lavanya Sharma is a junior at North Hollywood High School, and is currently the Marketing Director of AIHacks, Southern California's first all-female high school hackathon. Noticing the lack of diversity in STEM from an early age, she has worked to provide resources to underrepresented communities and make STEM education accessible for all. In her free time, Lavanya enjoys creative writing, programming, and volunteering.
Millie Huang currently attends Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA. Driven by her appreciation for technology, she is part of the Girls Who Code and WiSTEM clubs at her school. She is interested in working with Allgirlithm to not only empower other young women to pursue STEM fields, but also develop a deeper understanding of computer science. Outside of academics, her free time consists of volunteering, softball, and more.
Ifeoluwa Aigbiniode is a rising year one student from at the African Leadership Academy, South Africa. She is an avid writer and serves as a staff writer for Redefy.org with articles ranging on several social issues. She is also a technology enthusiast with a particular interest in robotics and computer science. She was the Engineering Notebook Manager and Lead programmer of Team Nigeria for the African Robotics Challenge in 2019 and is a Technovation 2019 alumni. She loves playing Candy Crush Soda and listening to Megan Thee Stallion!
Rishika Bandamede is a current senior who will attend Rutgers University New Brunswick in New Jersey in the fall, where she will pursue Computer Science. She is always looking for new ways to apply and challenge herself. Rishika is a Bharatanatyam dancer, which is an Indian classical dance, and enjoys other creative arts such as painting and sewing. She is very interested in learning more about Computer Science and researching the various areas of the field.
Pallavi Srinivas is a rising senior at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino and she would like to introduce herself as a new member of the Allgirlithm blog writer team! She is extremely enthusiastic about the intersection of technology and the arts, which is what she hopes to study in the future. She has always had a deep passion for dance, which led her to become a member and captain of @montavistaraas! In her free time, Pallavi enjoys dancing, painting, coding, and watching generative art videos on YouTube. She wants to spread awareness of the need for women in STEM to girls across the world, as it opens a wide variety of successful careers and future endeavors.
Alveera Munshi is a rising sophomore at South Brunswick High School and enjoys computer science, entrepreneurship, science, public health, and volunteerism. She volunteers for ISCJ, The Amal Foundation, Code 4 Tomorrow, Generations Together, Health Right Now, and Create a Future. She is the board secretary of her school's startup club, XSTEM. She has been playing piano since she was in Kindergarten. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, biking, running, singing, graphic design, and watching Netflix. In the future, she wants to go into data science.

In her free time, she enjoys bringing her ideas to life with mediums such as watercolor painting, abstracts, and poetry.
Ariana Pineda is a sophomore at Harvard Westlake. She enjoys learning about the newest innovations in technology and has devoted much of her time to studying blockchain, its applications, and its revolutionary impact on the real world. Currently, she is learning solidity and is working on a web3 application that incorporates Ethereum smart contracts, using blockchain to ensure the integrity of its data. Ariana is passionate about incorporating her love for technology into benefiting her own community. She is also the founder and co-developer of Whistle, an iOS app that streamlines the prevention of sexual offenses through providing easy and immediate access to help from organizations, shelters, and professionals.
Mehak Garg is a current junior at Milpitas High School. She is the founder of Coding4Kids, an international initiative dedicated to exposing students from K-8 to coding basics and Hidden Lake Ventures, a nonprofit that spreads social entrepreneurship. She is passionate about creating pathways, human-centered design, and the social/legal implications of technology. In her free time, she can be found writing case studies for her blog, debating on the national circuit, and playing tennis.
Emily Chen is a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. She is part of the Music for Community and Astrophysics club at her school, and is one of the lead organizers for a high school hackathon called Digitize that is focused on teaching students how to use technology to combat social issues. She is interested in Data Science as well as Modern Physics and Astrophysics, and hopes to bring more girls to the male-dominated STEM fields.
Natalie Pham is a Freshman at UCLA studying Computer Science and Engineering. She enjoys participating in various tech programs such as Girls Who Code, Kode With Klossy, and #BUILTBYGIRLS. Her goal is participate in research for artificial intelligence and change the future of the world. In her free time, she likes to read, go to the gym, go hiking and hang out with her friends. She plans to join the UCLA Engineering Fraternity, Vietnamese social organizations and women in engineering organizations.
Vaughn Luthringer is currently a senior in high school in the east Bay Area. She's loved everything STEM-related, especially computer science and robotics, for as long as she can remember, and is excited to continue learning in the future. During Summer 2019, she interned at the UC Berkeley Department of Nuclear Engineering, where she had the opportunity to write code for a sensor device. Outside of her interest in computer science, she's co-president of my school’s Women’s Awareness on Campus (WAC) club, which focuses on women’s issues and feminism. She's excited to be a part of Allgirlithm, because she can combine her interest in feminism with her interest in STEM. Any time not dedicated to WAC or computer science she spends at dance practice, where she rehearse with her hip hop dance team. She love the communities she gets to be a part of with STEM, feminism, and dance!
Taruni Tangirala is a senior at Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas. She is passionate about applying computation to solve real-world problems, whether it be through scientific research or co-creating an app to help women find safe stops while driving in unfamiliar areas, and serves as President for Girl Bytes, a club at her school that encourages literacy and inclusion among young women in computing. Taruni also fulfills her goals by being an active volunteer for a variety of different educational organizations, whether it be through being an Editor at an international scientific journal, judging spelling and geography bees, or being the Technology Coordinator for an international non-profit that provides disadvantaged children with access to educational opportunities. In her free time, she can be found photographing her travels, playing her ukulele, or writing political critiques.
Madison Ramos is a senior at The Wheatley School in Old Westbury, New York. Ever since participating in DigiGirlz and Technovation, she has found herself drawn to all things computer science and design. Currently, she yearns to explore all that machine learning (ML) and data science have to offer, having first delved into ML this summer through her research at Stony Brook University. She is also a #BUILTBYGIRLS WAVE Advisee, a Coding Coordinator for her school’s Coding Club, and a developer (and designer) for various organizations. Moreover, Madison understands the importance of education, acting as the Senior Vice President of Communications at Kara Tutoring; through Allgirlitm, she hopes to empower other girls interested in STEM. In her free time, she can generally be found reading, immersed in Photoshop, coding, or statistically analyzing the occurrences of Tom Riddle’s names throughout Harry Potter.
Gloria Huang is a junior at The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science, located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She has an avid passion about getting the younger generation, especially girls, interested in STEM. To further her passion, she has also been working with the educational leaders of her district to incorporate computer science into the elementary school curriculums.
Ore James is a senior attending high school in Texas. She is a lover of all things STEM and hopes to use communications to bridge gaps in the field. In her free time, she enjoys writing, biking and finding new podcasts.
Manasi Patel is a high school senior from Florida. She is interested in artificial intelligence and wants to learn more about computer science and technology as well as help encourage the next younger generation through working with Allgirlithm and participating in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program. In her free time, she enjoys playing cards and board games.
Tia Jain is a senior from Saratoga High School; As president of her school's AI club, she plans to use Allgirlithm AI Club resources in her club next year, and hopes to get more female and minority participation and interest in AI. Over the past year, she has worked to develop AI4Sight (@ai4sight on Instagram), which is an app that uses ML to make navigation and performing daily tasks easier and safer for the visually impaired community; she recently released this app to the App Store, and would really appreciate if you all could share the app with a loved one with visual impairments and/or download the app yourself!
Miha Bhaskaran is a senior attending American High School in Fremont California. She is the President of her school's Engineering and Tech Club as well as co-president/founder of her school's AI club and feels strongly about empowering women as well as breaching the gender gap in tech related jobs. Through Allgirlithm, she hopes to grow her passions further for journalism and technology.
Aashvi Patel is a senior from Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida. She is passionate about Computer Science and Design. She hopes to encourage other females and minorities to become involved in STEM related fields.
Lavanya Sharma is a junior at North Hollywood High School, and is currently the Marketing Director of AIHacks, Southern California's first all-female high school hackathon. Noticing the lack of diversity in STEM from an early age, she has worked to provide resources to underrepresented communities and make STEM education accessible for all. In her free time, Lavanya enjoys creative writing, programming, and volunteering.
Millie Huang currently attends Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA. Driven by her appreciation for technology, she is part of the Girls Who Code and WiSTEM clubs at her school. She is interested in working with Allgirlithm to not only empower other young women to pursue STEM fields, but also develop a deeper understanding of computer science. Outside of academics, her free time consists of volunteering, softball, and more.
Ifeoluwa Aigbiniode is a rising year one student from at the African Leadership Academy, South Africa. She is an avid writer and serves as a staff writer for Redefy.org with articles ranging on several social issues. She is also a technology enthusiast with a particular interest in robotics and computer science. She was the Engineering Notebook Manager and Lead programmer of Team Nigeria for the African Robotics Challenge in 2019 and is a Technovation 2019 alumni. She loves playing Candy Crush Soda and listening to Megan Thee Stallion!
Rishika Bandamede is a current senior who will attend Rutgers University New Brunswick in New Jersey in the fall, where she will pursue Computer Science. She is always looking for new ways to apply and challenge herself. Rishika is a Bharatanatyam dancer, which is an Indian classical dance, and enjoys other creative arts such as painting and sewing. She is very interested in learning more about Computer Science and researching the various areas of the field.
Pallavi Srinivas is a rising senior at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino and she would like to introduce herself as a new member of the Allgirlithm blog writer team! She is extremely enthusiastic about the intersection of technology and the arts, which is what she hopes to study in the future. She has always had a deep passion for dance, which led her to become a member and captain of @montavistaraas! In her free time, Pallavi enjoys dancing, painting, coding, and watching generative art videos on YouTube. She wants to spread awareness of the need for women in STEM to girls across the world, as it opens a wide variety of successful careers and future endeavors.
Alveera Munshi is a rising sophomore at South Brunswick High School and enjoys computer science, entrepreneurship, science, public health, and volunteerism. She volunteers for ISCJ, The Amal Foundation, Code 4 Tomorrow, Generations Together, Health Right Now, and Create a Future. She is the board secretary of her school's startup club, XSTEM. She has been playing piano since she was in Kindergarten. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, biking, running, singing, graphic design, and watching Netflix. In the future, she wants to go into data science.
Katie Li is a junior at Inglemoor High School in Seattle, WA. She's passionate about tech, entrepreneurship, and writing, and hopes that exploring the intersections between them will help educate both herself and the general public on increasingly prevalent CS topics. In her spare time, she runs Kalopsia Literary Journal, a magazine dedicated to empowering emerging writers.
Suhani Patel is a rising senior at Mountain Ridge High School in Arizona. She has always loved to code, and loves to spread her passion of coding to her community. She teaches young kids how to code at Code Ninjas and has designed apps and websites for several local companies and organizations in her area. After highschool, she hopes to integrate business/economics and computer science to bring more innovations in the business world.
